About jowar: It is a healthy fiber rich millet which belongs to poaceae family. The other common names of jowar are durra, egyptain millet, khafir corn. It is a rich source of proteins, fiber, iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, thiamine, riboflavin, folate. There are two types of jowar yellow and white. They both differ with respect to their glycaemic indices.
